These gauntlets are based on a number of surviving 17th century examples and where worn by military officers. The glove is made from oil tanned dear skin and the cuff is made from overlapping scales of oil tanned buff leather that provides a degree of protection from sword cuts.. They are made by hand and constructed the same way as the originals.
